Admission

Eligibility:

  1. Admissions are restricted to any Indian National who is over 50 years of age and falls under the following categories.
    • Couples who have no one to care for them or choose not to inflict turmoil/discomfort arrising out of socio-economic concerns upon their nuclear family oriented children.
    • Single people who may be estranged from their spouse and hence having to live separately.
    • Divorcee
    • Those who are interested to spend their short holiday away from there homes (min period of six months).
    • As a special dispensation, based on the merit of each individual case, any other case which though not covered in the above clauses deserves admission.
    • Who have the economic means to ensure regular payment of monthly fees.
  2. Admissions are not open to the following :-
    • Those falling under the categories listed at para 1 above, but need to keep dependent children with them.
    • Those suffering from medical conditions as shown below :
      • Critically ill.
      • Infectious diseases.
      • Mental illness.
      • Physically disadvantaged.
      • Addicted to liquor and drugs.
    • Those having a past criminal record.
    • Social outcasts and people with radical and extremist outlook on life.

Admission Procedure:

  1. All persons desirous of seeking residency status at. “Deviwati Ashiana” are to apply on the prescribed form (attached herein as appx. ‘A’). They will also submit a written agreement on appropriate stamp paper duly witnessed by two witnesses known to him /her, who can be recalled if required. The agreement must be duly signed by a Notary. ( specimen att. as appx. ‘B’).
  2. The said application must be accompanied by a detailed medical report issued by a qualified medical practitioner in accordance with the requirement of the establishment.
  3. The application must be accompanied with five passport size color photographs duly authenticated by a first class Government Servant. The sixth copy will be pasted on the application form and also authenticated by the same Public Servant.
  4. The applications will be received by the ‘Administrator’, Deviwati Ashiana and a suitable receipt handed over to the applicant duly recording date and time of receipt.
  5. The application will be screened by the ‘Administrator’ and handed over to the M.D. for approval.
  6. Once the application has been approved as accepted by the M.D. the aspirant resident will be informed regarding his/her admission to “Deviwati Ashiana”.
  7. Every application must be accompanied with the prescribed fees as shown below :
    • Demand Draft made out in favour of “Deviwati Ashiana” and payable at Panchkula for the following :-
      • Rs. 1,00,000 (Rs. one lakh only)
      • Monthly fees as applicable to each and shown in payment of services page.
  8. The Management may refuse admission to any applicant whose character and antecedents have not been satisfactory or for any other reason which the management deems fit.
  9. Any resident who has obtained admission by means of false representation of any kind or who may be found guilty of indiscipline / misconduct shall be liable to loose his/her right to retain his/her resident status.
  10. Residents who have once been dismissed from the “Deviwati Ashiana” will not be re-admitted under any condition.

Code of Conduct:

  1. Comprehensive boarding and lodging facilities are available to all residents throughout their lives at “Deviwati Ashiana”. Applicants have free choice to any of the three types of accommodation subject to availability of rooms.
    • AC Room
    • Non AC Room
    • Dormitory
  2. Residents who leave “Ashiana” for a period of more than two hrs will enter details in the out pass register.
  3. Residents leaving the “Ashiana” for overnight stay will seek permission to do so if they are not accompanied by their NOK or guarantor.
  4. Residents are entitled to a period of two months stay away from “Ashiana” during which period their fees will be a third of the applicable amount. Residents wishing to stay away beyond two months will have to pay the regular amount beyond the two month dispensation.
  5. No resident will be permitted to retain accommodation if he/she stays away from “Ashiana” for a period beyond six months.
  6. Residents will eat their meals at the dining hall during the laid down timings.
  7. Residents who leave “Ashiana” for an overnight stay or a period beyond that are expected to enter a dining out register to ensure no wastage of food.
  8. Residents are expected to utilise only that much electricity that is necessary .
  9. Playing loud music and TV which may discomfort the neighbour will not be allowed.
  10. Residents are expected to be appropriately dressed at all times. Clean and any socially accepted dress should be worn. No strict dress code is being laid down. However wearing of bathroom slippers, short vests, unbuttoned, clothing, unclean clothes, torn clothes or any other attribute to clothes which hurt the general sensibility of others will not be allowed.
  11. No resident is permitted to be rude or enter into a dialogue directly with the staff appointed to oversee the functioning of “Ashiana” . All matters which need redressal will be brought forward verbally or in writing or entered in the suggestions register and put forward to the administrator.
  12. The Administrator will hold a meeting once a month with all residents in attendance to seek their view points and also for detailing office bearers who will over see the following functions:-
    • Management of Kitchen.
    • Management of infrastructure
    • Management of garden.
